VPN services are widely used by businesses - does this prohibition affect them?
It’s probably meant as a discretionary law. It’s illegal for everybody, but only enforced against the people you don’t like and not the people who are paying your taxes etc
Plus it gives the local investigators a bribery opportunity with the local businesses. Oh you need to use a VPN to do your offshoring work? Well that’s illegal, but maybe I didn’t see it today…
Your phone better not display the “VPN” bit in the connection indicator!
😂 true. VPN = Crime.
Officials said a police team was on patrolling duty on Tuesday when during routine frisking in Dharamsal area, a man was found to be using banned VPN on his mobile phone.
They didn’t even use network surveillance…
routine frisking
Is this what fascism tastes like?
That’s Kashmir y’all! Basically Indian Palestine.
Nope! Kashmir is much more peaceful & election takes place in Kashmir. All I am say is Kashmir is totally different
Even Russia is peaceful and has “elections”. Is there free speech in Kashmir? Why is there an almost continuous martial law imposed there?
I am not saying Kashmir is like Gaza. It isn’t of course (not yet). It’s more like a West Bank situation.
I your last comment you clearly said both are same and now you are running away from what you said. I am going to reiterate Kashmir is totally different
