Who “lied” to you? Does it not say where it’s made on the label? Have you personally seen ads claiming these products were made in Ireland?
They are made in Ireland. The point is that these are iconic Irish brands, but the companies have been bought and are now owned by large conglomerates.
It’s similar the world over. Cadbury is no longer British. Vegemite is no longer Australian.
Did y’all not read the package labels ever?
Are you honestly going to sit here and act like you meticulously examine the labels of every food item you buy?

I always look for the Nestlé name and logo on new items before buying them…
I do.
If these companies are listed then they’re owned by whoever buys shares in them. It’s likely a random pension fund owns the biggest percentage of these companies.
