No you didn’t. People don’t buy the memoirs of random people. The publisher can move heaven and Earth but people still wouldn’t change the fact that the audience will never exist

BoulevardBlvd@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto And Finally...@feddit.uk•Satanist leader's attempt to hold Black Mass in Kansas Statehouse sparks chaos and 4 arrests1·4 months agoMaybe. Unfortunately US law doesn’t have a concept of “freedom to not worship”, so it’s tricky for atheists to push back against religious overreach because it’s hard to prove the exclusive religious favoritism for Christians in this country as an atheist since atheists are by definition impossible to prevent from worshiping.
It’s a lot easier to just say hail Satan and then crush the snowflakes in court since now you are religious, just for a bullshit religion which they can’t legally call bullshit on. Because that’s the other thing. There is absolutely no legal test of faith. The court must take satanists specifically at their word and push no further. Christianity is a major established religion in the US which means Satan is widely recognized, so it isn’t a random cult they can spin shutting down, and it is a religion so they can’t pretend the satanist isn’t covered by the first amendment protection.
Basically US law is stupid and that makes claiming to be a satanist extremely legally expedient
It’s a guest contributor to a local paper deep in Mormon country. It’s not really hard to add up
BoulevardBlvd@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Fuck AI@lemmy.world•OpenAI's viral Studio Ghibli moment highlights AI copyright concerns | TechCrunch2·4 months agoI’d rather live in a world where the concept of “copyright” doesn’t exist at all. Unfortunately we don’t live in that world and art can be exchanged for money. As such, let’s stick to trying to keep people from starving rather than pretending this is fine because the concept of capitalism is inherently broken, mkay?
It’s more like walking into Google the day after your high school graduation and asking to be the CEO. I’m sure he could have been published if he tried to publish something people wanted to read. there’s barely an audience for the memoirs of real people that isn’t just money laundering. Literally no one would buy it if they published it
