The US is an imperialist hypocrite of a country. Like that is just a damn fact. As you point out though, the issues leftists, not in these spaces, have with places like hexbear, and ml, is the fact that they back authoritarian regimes like China. China who is in the process of the US playbook of economic imperialism with their BRI. They are committing a genocide, they are exploiting much poorer countries, to hold them in economic dependency, and they are discussing annexing land they do not own any longer, and haven’t for a long time now. No I am not talking about Taiwan.

They are making so many similar moves to the US post WWII, and have an economy that is dependent on allowing capitalism, to the point that they have a billionaire class second only to the US. While the US is growing its police/surveillance state, China is leagues ahead on that one. The big thing China doesn’t have, is something similar to the massive global infrastructure the US developed to be able to deploy, and supply, its military in a time frame measured in hours. China is trying to develop something along these lines, but it has the US/NATO super structure all ready in place, it will have to, at least partially, displace. This will not be easy.

Where I live, the type of people that wear these fascist bro clothing brands are generally comfortable, middle class, suburban, guys with comically large trucks. These people are not wayward youth, who feel powerless. They are privileged white people who feel like their power is being “unnaturally” challenged by people, they consider to be, vermin.

Yeah, I had this conversation with aunt. She grew up in a rather big city, and always wanted to move into the countryside for more privacy. Well, a hurricane leveled the area she lived in. She got a shit deal from FEMA, and insurance, etc. So, on top of always wanting to move away from people, it was easier to afford.

She regrets it, especially as she ages. The people, though farther apart, and fewer in number, are all up each-others’ asses. She said she went from being someone she doubted her neighbors fully realized existed, to everyone in the county knowing who she is, who her kids are, who her husband is, where they live, what car was theirs, etc. She said she never felt more under a microscope in her life. She said it really sunk in when she was at the store, and a woman she didn’t recognize, just said “Hey, aunt’s name, how is husband’s name leg doing?” He didn’t work in the area, like he worked a several hour drive away, she didn’t know this woman, yet she knew about her husband’s recent surgery. Now that she is aging, and has had her knees replaced, she is finding it more, and more, difficult to do basic life things, because there are so few support resources compared to where she left.

That is literally not the definition of liberal though. Liberalism is a political ethos based on a number of tenets surrounding individual rights, private ownership of property and capital, governing consent via democracy, and an equal application of the law. There is plenty of room for those things to go very awry, and become what most would consider the wrong thing, for the wrong reason.

People become lonely, disaffected, and negative towards the world they live in. Just because it is common around you doesn’t mean it is common on a societal scale, which is the one they are speaking to. You know this. You know, that the general public defines guns this way. The technical definition is not the common one.

The root cause is, almost, always men though. The majority of men’s societal problems is the cause of a society that has, nearly exclusively, been controlled by men, for thousands of years. The same is true for women. Also, most of women’s problems with violence come from men. Most of men’s problems with violence come from men. Women are the victims of rape, and homicide, nearly completely due to men. This same thing goes for men with these problems. In fact, men are so bad to men, men are more likely to be the victim of homicide than women, and men make up nearly 100% of those homicides.

I say this as a man. A man who had a woman poison me, and nearly murder me. The men problem is the one that needs to be addressed first. This has to happen because men, and the society we built, are the reason for the majority of the problems we have today.

With the question of violence, and many other societal, problems, it’s men, all the way down.

Honestly, it wouldn’t even have to be a really nice voice. I would like it regardless. Hell, at this point in my life, if someone did something this thoughtful for me, I probably wouldn’t even know how to react. I would probably just stand there, stunned, while my brain processes the situation.
