  • It’s not impossible and not sustainable. A 12/5 or 10/6 is considered “normal” in my industry/company. It’s toxic af but a lot workplaces in the US bake in competition as either an incentive for compensation. Some teams have a mandatory oncall rotation that fits that schedule if not slightly more

The number of people replying anecdotally to this and other comments make me think it’s a lot more pervasive than I’d assumed. Young people in particular are being encouraged to work these kinds of hours to “get ahead” or “show initiative” in the hopes they don’t get laid off or overlooked for promotions

I personally work it and I cannot handle it. The second I’m home my brain is done, only have time to do some mild (unhealthy usually) mental decompression and sleep poorly lol

  • The transcode performance on the apple silicon is pretty solid if you wanted to go the media server route. Or have a really expensive NAS host lol

I have a macbook for work and I like it generally, it integrates well with other *nix environments. But if you don’t use a laptop or don’t want to have the uncomfortable interruption to your hotkey muscle memory it’s a bit useless. I’d either sell it and/or find someone in my network that needs it

  • I kinda understand it? As if the sentences are stacked on top of each other

Sorry I haven’t been in touch

I’ve never not thought about you

What a stubborn one to please

Verify that the kids are way more [stubborn?] than / that I have (I think this is a run on/repetition (shocker))

As to you or I have is irrelevant

[It’s] important that you need to get the camp oven, there were two. Stamped one was mine, big one dad cooked with it

Home belongs with it now in your hands

Guilty about long time, best of all ventures

Definitely came from a good place I think

  • The result was still unlabeled sexual content. They had categories specifically for that, but it was rarely adhered to from my own experience

If you’re complaining my perspective is reductive how is yours any different? You could argue whatever takes Omegle’s place will be worse, sure. I respect that you have a different opinion

I’ll adjust my complaint to the need for better AI moderation. You’re ignoring that the Omegle was shut down shortly after a lawsuit settlement surrounding child exploitation. I don’t personally believe organizations or people should be able to outgrow something like that without consequences
