honestly this is like the whole reason i want to live in a big city: there’s always stuff open, fast food joints are available on basically every block, good public transport and walkability so parking is never a worry, and weather doesn’t much matter when you can just take the bus or you only have to walk 500 meters and there might very well be a roof above you the entire way.

I came from a regional tourist town and moved into a big city… Went out if the first night and was amazed and stranded at the fact public transport shut down at midnight.

My small town it ran all night long. Sure it was less frequent but you were never stranded.

as someone who just was forced (impossible to rent houses at affordable prices) to move from the big city into a random small town in the country , I fucking felt this in my heart.

My toxic trait is that I just say things like “No, I just got a new video game and won’t be leaving my house for a few days”

I thought it was a good thing, but people hear it as “no, I have better things to do than spend time with you”

A lot of what passes for ‘maturity’ is just people being too tired to have fun.
