You and I both know that’s the problem, but to the average user, they’re going to go to whatever has a large corporation spending a lot of money to tell them that their platform is the next big thing.
It sounds to me you are making excuses instead of confronting the obvious problems of Mastodon. It’s user-hostile to anyone who is not already a fucking nerd.
