What would be a good self-hosted solution for a centralized file cloud?
Think of a Google Drive, but a centralized one; each user will be able to log to the central folder but depending on perms, will be able to perform different actions.
I tried ownCloud and Nextcloud, but it looks like they’re more oriented to replace the “traditional” (for lack of a better word) cloud providers.
I’m looking to install it on an Unraid server, I’ve been looking for a solution like that for weeks, but my Google powers are no good for things I’m not able to describe in a few words lol.
Two ideas: First, you’re describing exactly a traditional SFTP share with the same files being in a location but each user can have different permission levels. Also, samba shares does the same thing. Not sure if a modern web UI is a requirement for you though.
Second, you could use nextcloud and just share the files, or use groups (or circles I can’t remember what they call it).
