Does not the constitution say something one should not be charged or something to vote? If so then why does my home state charge 50$ to get a regular id to vote? Is that no illegal?

It’s called a poll tax, and yes it’s supposed to be illegal. What godforsaken state (they all are in their own special way.) is pulling that?
