Their wording for the title, not mine! A lot of news here is still trying to act like this is all normal, with journalists who go against the administration being attacked. Definitely authoritarian. Totalitarian. Fascist. I’ve seen all three words used.

Neither. A nation of NPDs want their own brand of authoritarianism, that defends their hypocrisy, but oppresses the rest. They will starve to death than to admit their wrong doings and amend.

The question you should be asking is: what are you doing now?
Not everybody on the right is a narcissist, and it helps nobody to flatten the personhood of millions of people in that way if the actual goal is positive change. It implies that there is no way to communicate or come to an understanding with any of them, which is just not how the world works and only undermines and ignores the potential many of them have to learn better. It takes types more patient than myself to reach them, but I’ve seen firsthand that it is entirely possible to change minds on these things. If Bernie Sanders was able to get fox news viewers to cheer for socialist ideas, then they (or at least some of them) are not so lost as to never be found.
I agree that many of them will not reconsider their siding until trouble kicks down their own doors, but I don’t think giving up on people who have been fooled is actually a path toward true betterment.

That’s the crux: the majority on the right have given up on people, and because of that mindset, there is no path better than their desire to enslave non-whites in deathcamps. The ultra right, do not care one lick about you, or are tories doing their best to cease them. So the 🇺🇲 is speedrunning project2025 at the ignorants pace. I’ve studied enough neuroscience to know convincing someone else a fools errand. But to have the majority of the population be as illiterate as the president, is a mountain of reformation even a Jewish Rabbi was crucified for.
