By doing this, they’ve also ironically managed to disprove their own point of supposedly only enforcing the rules. Bit of a shame, as the idea of the community seemed nice, but I thought the mod was really out of line there.

I’m not an LLM, and I love em dash. But I don’t use it much on Lemmy because the Jerboa client doesn’t seem to have an easy way to create one.
I just use dashes as if they’re em dashes. Nobody complains and as an upside I don’t look like an LLM.
