Finally got web workers to work in WASM

While I do think it would strengthen the security, anyone that can trick someone into giving them their SSN can also trick that someone into giving them their private key.

This would be advantegous for everyone, but private keys would still be stolen.

I’m all for a cryptography embracing government though. A GPG key is far superior to a short number sequence that can be predicted easily.

Although not great, where I live, at least, we have a way to digitally sign digital documents using public key cryptography.

One thing is that I believe we will eventually have cryptographic keys assigned to us instead of those insecure SSNs. But who knows when that will become reality.

I agree. I find Rust’s syntax much better than Go’s.

Reviews and the forums is my idea. Basically, every anime, manga, etc. will have its own community and the reviews and forum threads will be a new post. I also want to include VN tracking in it if I can find a source for it, unlike MAL.

I will try and make a federated anime tracking website in summer. Not sure if that is unique though.

I guess. An average 30 sec video in Tiktok is around 10mb. So with a S3 storage. For a monthly budget of 10€, you could roughly store 500k of those videos. Taking also account the server bills (10-20€) That would be 30€ per month. For a million of those videos would be 20€ so monthly around 50€ euros. For people that really want to host one. I guess you could. But it’s definitely more expensive than something like Lemmy.

Okay but storing videos is very expensive. Even in its compressed form. Even images are being disabled in some instances in lemmy because of this. And videos are hundreds of images composed together. Who will run them?

That would be extremely expensive to run for an individual.
