I was just thinking this. If you’re dev, being on pure Linux makes a ton of sense. But if you’re a gamer, Windows is still your best option.

The ironic thing is Breyers ran commercials about how you could pronounce every ingredient in their ice cream. They had like a 10 year old read their ingredient list vs. competitors.
But when they got bought out by Unilever, quality went downhill fast
For now. I fully expect rules like this to be fully rolled back so that ice cubes will be legally “ice cream”.
You forget that we will have a president who ignores the rule of law.
He’ll issue an executive order shutting down the exchange website, minimize the exchange workforce to 0, and require everyone to apply by mail.
Red states did just this with SNAP benefits and did exactly what they intended.
Your employer offers you insurance by pooling its employees together to get a bulk rate. Your employer then subsidizes your plan (in most cases) and pays a fixed amount for your participation.
Essentially, the government did the same thing except it pools everyone who purchases through them.
Fun fact: if everyone purchased through the exchange, it would overall be cheaper for everyone but then tHaT iS sOcIaLiSm!
When the $1 coins were released, most stuff in vending machines were still within the cost of a dollar. Thought I’m not disagreeing with your comment. Coins, for the most part, are relegated to coin jars and aren’t really “spent” in the same way that bills are.
The problem is that coins generally are just so inconvenient. I only hold onto them for the rare occasion where I need to feed a meter.
It’s one of the jobs of a bank though. They are supposed to exchange damaged bills and then exchange them with the mint, who then destroys them.
Honestly we need to get rid of the $1 bill generally but that’s a completely different post all together.
If anything, I’d love a diff of each edit vs the ability to ninja edit
I think it’s a result of trying to get support right now so you don’t get stuck waiting for someone to up vote your question or having other questions push your thread further down.
I’ve been a victim of this myself and going to Discord seems to be better getting someone to actually help you, especially for niche questions.
I’m not saying I like it but I certainly get it.
What are the odds of this vapid asshole saying “Australia is violating the first amendment!”
Even money?
If they are too big to fail, then they need to be nationalized.
All of these companies have two things in common: they socialize risks and liabilities and privatize profits.
Tbh the exchange is a bit testy. Even if they didn’t request it to be removed, I have a feeling it would have gone viral.
But the Streisand effect is going to show the coverup and the juicy parts. It’s just…amazing
I sort of get it. When you self host mastodon or lemmy, you have to deal with the moderation that comes with it. That’s a headache unless you have a ton of free time. Judging by the age distribution, I’m guessing most of us just want things to work so we can do what we enjoy.
On the one hand, the UN making a resolution that they won’t trust the results of the US elections would play right into the hands of what some MAGAs are saying.
But MAGAs then agreeing to any UN resolution, especially one that requires third party oversight…
I’d say the odds are even on this.
Idk. Maybe pretending to have Internet arguments is better than actually having them.
At least then their idiocy is limited to inside their head then spread across the Internet.
This isn’t random but does poison the well by clicking on every link the ad blocker sees.
I don’t use it myself but I’ve heard great things.
They can target the code though. They’ll inspect the code, find ways to break it, and then kill it that way.
The sooner we can get creators off of YouTube the better.

We really don’t have much say in it. Sure we vote but there’s an entire segment of the country that’s afraid of immigrants whose influence is very disproportional to the percentage of the population.
My guess is that it’s the easiest and cheapest way to set up “MFA”.
The number of banks that don’t have proper MFA really bugs me.
