Because it’s cool.
Apparently.
I’d like to see all noisy bikes and cars seized and crushed. And the owner billed for the work and time.
Music (mainly prog rock) and veggie loving, geeky cat butler living in Hertfordshire UK. A lover of all things LOTR (since I first read it over 50 years ago) scifi and what have you. Ex soldier (Royal Artillery) and other trades ;-)

Not an unpopular opinion here. I’d go as far as to include fishing just for the catch/photo/competition and horse riding, and most certainly horse racing.
Radio Paradise have a few streams. Personal favourites are the Rock Mix and for lounging around, reading etc. the Mellow Mix. If you want something a little different then the Global Mix might suit you.
For general day to day listening then the Main Mix covers just about everything. For me personally, I find there’s too much Beatles and Reggae. I can’t stand them. But YMMV.
Although Spotify has some excellent prog playlists, that sodding AI thing pisses me right off (although there may be a way to get rid of that, I’ve got to try it out) I have Amazon Prime so their music service is a bit of a no brainer as it’s cheaper. Not sure if I can tell the difference in audio quality. At 67 and a lifetime of British Army (I was in the Artillery man, play it LOUD!) and working with rock bands, my ears are probably not up to the finer points.
For rock and prog 24/7 then Morow is your friend.
What about Puff the Magic Dragon? Or The Soup Dragon?
How To Train Your Dragon is full of them.
And then there’s Luck Dragons. Or best of all, The Green Dragon in Bywater.
That happens here (Hertford, UK) all too often as well. Entitled people park where they like.
I was in the post office the other week, a woman in front of me was paying some parking tickets (via postal order) for her husband. Apparently he can afford it and it doesn’t bother him.
Personally I think after a certain number, the car should be taken and crushed. That will bother him.
Exactly.
To quote Ramsay Bolton, ‘If you think this is going to end well, you haven’t been paying attention’.
If the driver wasn’t expecting it to stop, then they weren’t paying enough attention to the road in front of them
And that hot coffee will be all over the place. Tough.
Of course they are. As the article.rightly point out, electric vans are too expensive, and charging infrastructure just isn’t there yet. Because the government wanted it all on the cheap and didn’t have a plan.
There will also be a small diehard faction that think it’s not ‘manly’. The sort of people you get (in the states they have guns as well) with their overcompensating enormous pickups.
I’ve just thought of another benefit of electric vehicles, no more drive offs with a tank of fuel at filling stations.
Over $4 million for a bloody car? And people wonder why the world is going to shit. It’s because there are fucking oxygen thieves that can afford things like this.
Nobody needs to have one of these.
Notoriously unreliable as well.
Lots of them in Hertford and Ware (where I live and work) and completely pointless.
N.B. Those of you outside the UK, look up Hertford or Ware UK on mapping system of your choice. Not exactly the Scottish Highlands is it?
Don’t forget the cucumber sandwiches ;-)
Most of of them care more about their bank balances so vegans can do one.
Because people buy them, they won’t stop making them whilst they sell. Stop buying them and they’ll stop making them. It’s not like the are necessary.
Until stupid people stop buying this crap, this is always going to happen.
Hey Americans! If you vote him in, you deserve everything crappy that happens to you.
We need to wean ourselves from anything made in China - difficult as seemingly everything is made there. They do not have our best interests at heart. Look at the post regarding the steel plant in Serbia.
Not a lot of sympathy for them about is there?
That’s excellent. Pity we don’t make more use of things like that now.
Oops, just looked at the other link!
I imagine it’s pretty much the same in UK - a lot of the people using them for work might be better off with a small van.
But then, they don’t look ‘manly’ do they?
