I don’t think I’ll ever take off while it’s called Lemmy. It’s just not a word that sounds ‘good’ in my opinion.

It might’ve taken some time to catch a bug.
Can’t have the beard. Bating.
Downloaded it. Signed up. Replied to a post about rechargeable batteries. Account got restricted. Left.
Yeah. Doesn’t really worry me as a I use Facebook a fair bit for local groups. I know they’re evil so on PC they’re in their own browser.
I only tried this as someone else in this post couldn’t see the Facebook video, and in the Fediverse world where posts become old quick, thought I’d jump in with a quick disposable alternative.
Yeah. I made this as a demo for customers wanting their home videos converted, but you’re right about things that are disappearing. The chomps movie in this sample for example might not exist online, or the seeders may have since vanished. Not sure if it’d get taken down if I posted it on YouTube.
Maybe no better. Used a screen recorder on my phone to watch the Facebook video.
Here’s some VHS bits I ripped using composite. Not too bad for VHS quality without any retouching.

Is this Elton John’s Too Low For Zero cover?
Now they need hats to give them a longer life.
Add your own words.
Agreed.
$300 for the g84, I’m quite happy. Dual sim Call recording Stereo speakers Headphone socket Oled display Sd card Fast charge 5Ah battery Thin and light. 5g
Only downside is mediocre camera. Ok if you don’t need to zoom in.
A $250 Epson ink tank printer.
500 full colour 10x15 photos and still half full.
Almost nobody. My $300 Moto g84 is cheap enough that if I break it I won’t be super upset. It’s lovely being thin and light without a case, and so far I’ve been able to keep it in my grasp.
The camera bump is annoying but clips nicely onto the cafe condiment bowl as a handy stand.
I wonder could someone write an app that watches the clipboard for YouTube URLs and auto launches the desired app?
Winks?
And give up Raygunning?
About damn time re PWA support. Such a pain having to install add-ons and manually configure each device for each site.
I only moved to FF because Chrome kepr stuffing up my pinned PWA shortcuts.
I don’t think mbin existed at that time. For a long time I was on kbin on desktop and Artemis on Android. Artemis kinda evaporated, and eventually I settled on Voyager, which meant I needed a lemmy.world amount. I still used kbin on desktop but it became less and less reliable.
I use npvr with comskip.exe and it does a fairly reasonable job of taking the ads out of free to air TV.
You can see in the timeline where it’s detected ads, but you can use the mouse or arrow keys to still play those areas if it got it wrong.
