It can be. It has been in the past. Locally hosted servers used to be common.

It’s been out for years now, it’s called Alyx, and you’re only fooling yourself if you think it’s not.
Who the fuck believed they were? 🤣
Remove video games. Execs and more importantly shareholders, are ruining the fucking world.
Only like 1% related to the topic at hand, but man I would love to see SE remake Parasite Eve.
That’s. Fucking. Sexy.
Capitalism was a mistake.
Shit that actually hurt.
My city has The Walker, a very gentle man who walks everywhere, has long chopped hair and at one point (maybe still) wore a Power Puff Girl keychain as a necklace. Some say his family was killed in a car accident, hence the walking. We also had “The Silver Fox” legendary “Mullet Man” who creeped around all the local bars but died relatively recently.
I am a FIRM believer that a quality product will net you more sales than any cheap tricks will and if you really come out with a banger then you always have the option to add a MEANINGFUL DLC addition down the line, instead of content you made at the same time you made the base game and just decided to wall off and “release” later.
Not enough TBH.
I’m glad I played the beta so I knew I wouldn’t be interested in buying the full game.
Thought the exact same.
The tower defense part was legitimately one of my favorite parts of the original game. 🤣
The relationship system was good until I realized that it, like Cyberpunk, was really just forming really close friendships with characters. I want my space/future girlfriends!
I wanted to like this game so much as NV is my favorite game of all time, but it was just so incredibly bland and lacking in so many ways.
Ha! Amazing response, never even considered how that shorthand would be taken by the Fallout community. I actually meant “disconnects” by the term DCs, but really great write up you have here.
I have over a thousand games in my library (almost all from sales) and yeah… I’ve probably played less than 5% of them. I’m a collector? 😅
