Barbie was worth seeing in the theater as well, to be honest. I’m a middle aged guy and it was a great experience to see that with the women all in pink cheering opening weekend. Like seeing a Marvel, DC, or Star Wars movie. The energy was palpable.
Yeah, I was hesitant to put Wednesday on there. I guess I was going for stories/characters we’ve seen before vs. something completely original. Wednesday is more like Cruella. Both good, both original, but based on previous property.
Here’s what people want… Good movies and good television. Yeah, originality is great, but remakes can be good too.
I liked the remake of Infernal Affairs (The Departed), Scarface, Cape Fear, Ocean’s 11, The Fly, King Kong (Peter Jackson), True Grit, Judge Dread, and The Wizard of Oz (1939) was also a remake. The Fall Guy looks good too.
For TV, there’s Battlestar Galactica, Westworld, Cobra Kai, Sabrina, and Wednesday, though different, could fit in there as it’s still based on another property.
What people don’t want are obvious cash grabs.
I’m no GPSjamologist, but if a jammer was running in your car, wouldn’t the signal reach other nearby cars while in traffic or does it do it all within the confines of your automobile?
And the name of the one that passed?
Albert Einstein.
Also, “Only one was found to be acceptable: Lexus’ Teammate with Advanced Drive.”
Thank you, rich people, for testing out these features until they are ready for the normal cars.
Good guy HP: Trying to save the planet by making their printers so bad no one wants to print anymore. 👍
SMS 2FA is dumb, but I thought 16 characters are okay right now. Does the bank have too many password mistakes will block you for a certain time period enabled?
Do they use NACS or a different style connection?
I plan on waiting for NACS myself, but they do have adapters coming to use Tesla chargers on current non-NACS EVs. Some will provide them for free to recent owners.
Samsung Pay is pretty good if you have a Samsung phone.
Vudu is a better name, but Fandango is a more recognizable name. I get it.
Still, they should just market Vudu more. Fandango at Home is a stupid name thought of by corporates. At least, it’s not Fandango+ or whatever… which I’m sure was on their list.
It’s definitely US, but could be elsewhere. Used to be owned by Walmart before Fandango bought them.
What made it great is that you could take all your old DVD and Blu-Ray collections and convert them to digital streaming for like $2 each. If you did ten or more at a time then you’d get a 50% discount… so basically $1/disc. If you wanted to up-rez a DVD (SD to HDX) then it would be $5 per disc or $2.50/disc if you did ten or more.
This was great back in the day when converting movie discs to hard disk at home was time consuming and expensive and complicated. Getting a 1080p copy of my old DVDs for $2.50 each was a lot better option than paying $10-15 again.
You just had to put the disc in a tray for Vudu to scan it. That’s it. You could technically borrow other people’s collections as well. Now, I think they have you scan a barcode with their app. Once 4K versions came out, I don’t think they allow for upgrading your collection to that which is a shame. I also don’t think they do the 50% discount for converting 10 or more discs.
Still, Vudu always seems to have them best sales. Just wish there was a better upgrade process from SD or HDX to 4K. Right now, it seems like it’s the same price as everyone else.
I don’t see as many Vizios as I used to. I recommend Hisense now for better bang-for-your-buck TVs.
I still prefer Sony or Samsung, but you’d be paying more to get similar picture quality.
From what I’ve read, it only affects AMD processors from 2011 and earlier, and Intel processors from 2008 and earlier.
So… just people who bypassed the earlier TPM requirement and installed Windows 11 on those older CPUs for some reason.
Who would do this, like three people in the world?
I mean, yeah. I signed up for a year of Prime last summer. They just decide to put in ads? At least wait for the subscription to expire before pulling this crap.
Every time they do something like this, I wait longer and longer to resubscribe. It’s just been getting worse, not better.
Bezos, just go to Mars already with the rest of the billionaires. Guess how much taxes you’ll save up there. We don’t need you.
Here’s an idea… why not ban all robo-calls?
The biggest reason to get a newer car is the safety features (back up cameras, audible warnings, brake assist, etc.). I had my previous car for over 15 years and the new features were a huge upgrade.
Going on ten years on my current one, and seeing how much safety and tech has improved since then gets me wanting a new one.
But yeah, if you don’t drive often, then it might not matter much.
Okay, great, but what is The Rolling Stones opinion on that?
(sorry)
