Makes sense, thank you.
Makes sense, thank you.
I see.
Just to make sure I understand, how does the situation change if the DNS resolver is set at the browser or OS level (DNS over HTTPS)
Thank you for your response.
Makes a lot of sense, thank you for explaining your setup
Simplex is really cool but I think their desktop app is pretty ugly (and sometimes buggy)
I set up the CLI version the other day and have been having a lot of fun with that but I have to convince other people to actually use it haha
I don’t understand how I’m supposed to get notifications though, I miss messages because my eyes are on another screen. Not sure if sound alerts are even possible but I need to do more research.
Will get a graphene boi soon and try making that the main device with remote cli control and see if that improves the experience
We tried session before this and it’s not functional or trustworthy enough to use but I wish I could slap it’s chat UI/notification alerts onto simplex
I did see they released a flatpak literally a couple hours after it became available. Might do some good for onboarding.
Do any of you actively cover your face at all times in public? This seems like a threat that’s only going to skyrocket in danger
Brave?
Don’t believe they’re related
I’m thrilled to see this! Incredible!
Thank you.
Some feedback however, the buttons below each comment/post (show context, link, votes, etc) are invisible for me in Tor browser. I have to hover over to read the tooltips. Search is also hidden but unread message indicator is shown. Changing themes in settings does not change this.
Using safest security level with temporary trusted js through noscript. No other extensions. Hopefully this is an easy fix. Cheers
Awesome, thank you.
On Nobara you can just double click .exe files and they open perfectly with winetricks. Absolutely bonkers.
This is with an nvidia card too, 0 issues 0 config needed
It’s not as good as a real adblocker but you can install “ad guard” from the app store (you have to enable it in settings -> safari -> content blockers)
Very good point, I actually had thought of this but dismissed it as overly paranoid
Thanks
