They could just look for names, then hash those names and compare them to your hashed name. So technically that don’t need to store your data, just hashes.
They know it will hurt Apple more than them.
The kickstarter failed in 2019… as this article is 4 years old.
I assume since the freelancers are affected by the hack they were informed by the Times.
