Lol this really sucks for Plex users, but I’m glad I left that steaming pile of shit software. I’ve been using Jellyfin for two years now and have never had to deal with sudden new shitty default-on features that appear from out of nowhere. Not once. With Plex, that happened like every other release. I don’t miss it.

Because everyone knows only terrorists take hostages, so using the term to describe one side tells the public who to think is the terrorist side without having to actually say it.

You might have figured it out by now, but “megabits per second” is abbreviated as “Mbps” with an uppercase m; yeah, it’s kinda pedantic, but using lowercase means it’s a millibit, which is much, much smaller. The same applies to “gigabits per second,” which should be expressed as “Gbps.”

At any rate, thank you for posting this, it really is good news. And about time they did this, too.

This frickin comic, it gets me every time. It is a lot like that. I try to reason, be rational, consider options, but I get nothing back. It’s like trying to hail the Reliant, all I get is static.

They budgeted, produced, and released ten tv shows in two years, and they never bothered to put anyone in charge? JFC, it all makes sense now.

It’s not a question of “Can you read the book?” It is a question of, “Did you extract information from the book? Can you connect the dots asked in the question based on the information that you read?” Lots of people who identify themselves as literate have a lot of difficulty doing these kinds of things.

I’m really sorry if this comes across as a TL;DR, but there’s a name for that. I’m positive you already know, but for the benefit of those interested, it’s called “functional illiteracy.” And it’s wild, still blows my mind to this day. Like, if you’re functionally illiterate, that doesn’t mean you don’t know how to read…it means you can read but can’t understand language written beyond the basic level. There are a lot of variables involved and I’m oversimplying a lot, but that’s it in a nutshell. It’s fucking terrifying, to be honest, especially because it’s so widespread.

Read to your kids, folks! And talk to them about it afterwards!
