Sounds like a good plan. The question now is: will he actually deliver?

Thank you, everyone! Before I go any further, let me address the obvious: the dislikes. This question was received negatively and, to be honest, it was well deserved. Reading my post once again, it was poorly worded and gives the impression of naivety. Nonetheless, I loved the answers that I received. Really great points; some of which I hadn’t considered before. Once again, I want to thank all of you for your feedback.
This was possibly the worst waste of my time. Five minutes of pure CCP worship. Wrong on so many levels. And they have the gall to drag the Israel-Palestine conflict into this fucking trite.
Sometimes I don’t know if they’re ignorant of the climate crisis happening around them or if they’re ignoring it or even accelerating it because they get some perverse satisfaction from earth’s destruction.
Literal bullshit. Who would have thought?
Regardless where you stand on the political spectrum, I think we can all agree that this is deserving of sanctions.
Fair point. If makes any difference, I live in Memphis, Tenn. where there really isn’t a cycling culture and the idea of going car free is utter blasphemy. Sure, there’s the Green Line which runs across the city and the wider Shelby County but that’s it.
Damn, you’re lucky.
Agreed. I think I’ll go with my first thought: adding a roof rack to my car and buy outdoor gear. I already have a bike rack so I’ll just rent a mountain bike at a local shop. Now, if I really want to embrace that outdoor lifestyle and if my sedan won’t cut it then I’ll consider an AWD wagon like the Volvo XC70 or, even better, a Subaru Outback.
We will miss you. We won’t let those corporate egomaniacs take over.

Key word: directly. Banks may say that they won’t fund fossil fuels but doesn’t mean the money will disappear. Someone else can get the money for them. What Barclays has essentially done is add extra step for oil companies to get their financing. Remember people, banks and corporations are not are our friends. Anytime they claim to take up a social cause - be it climate action, LGBT issues or what have you- it is not for our benefit but for the benefit of their bottom line.
Quick question: What advantages do PoE cameras have over offline CCTV cameras?
Finally, some good news! We have to make sure not to give these zealots any chance at taking our freedom.
This is the oldest trick in the book: Scream ‘victim’ while doing horrible shit.
I might give it a try but something tells me this project could go very wrong.
You know society’s fucked when the basic premise of a low-tier cyberpunk novel from the 90s becomes reality.
I was going to comment “where’s the body pillow?” but you beat to it. Touche.
(No I did not read the article, someone said it was shit and I don’t doubt them)
Considering that this article comes from Vice I’m not surprised.
Best ways to circumvent this:
Buy a pre-2000s car. Sure, cars were going high tech before but this was long before IoT became a thing.
Ditch the car all together and get into to cycling and e-bike culture.
