That looks like a blast, but I’d make sure the weather reports were favorable first…

I heard that too, but I’m no historian. What certainly is different now is having the internet; everyone who cares is staying informed and seeing what Israel is doing to Palestinians in almost real time. Not that we can do much about it, but we can write some letters to choice politicians, attend protests, etc…
Maybe try using a file to make flat sides on the outside of the head so you can use a wrench on it? (Not sure if that would be better or worse than the Dremel/slot idea… you would risk scratching the surface of the object it’s on.)
He a dude that likes to play with reflective spheres on checkered planes. Cool guy :)
Hmm, it could be good. Thanks for the recommendation 👍🏻
This post is a good place to remind everyone who likes zombie flicks to watch Fido (2006).
Wow, that’s crazy. My ecosystem only has microdenizens; I can’t image what it would be like to go macro. Good luck making your dreams come true =☆
If another country came into ours and started driving people out, cutting down food trees and putting in settlements, you bet we’d be pissed. But it’s like our politicians have zero empathy and can’t imagine us being in another’s shoes. I know politics requires making hard choices, but must every top politician be a sociopath? It’s very imbalanced.
“Patients are generally encouraged to rest, stay hydrated, and use over-the-counter pain relievers[…]”
Sounds like you turn yourself into a sloth… Where you do it is up to you, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Similarly to what the other guy said, I believe it’s because the ruling class wants to keep their power no matter what. Any burgeoning movement that threatens their hegemony can be nipped in the bud before it blossoms, because ‘the eye sees all’, or at least it wishes to.
Most people don’t realize (or don’t care) just how one-sided our relationship with the government and corporations has gotten. The elites have a monopoly on violence, psychology, surveillance and means. If you were to start a movement that promises real change, you’d find it falling apart before it ever truly got started because you don’t have all the things I mentioned.
There’s always 5D Optical Data Storage, which might store data in glass for a long, long time. (It’s not really 5D; it’s composed of discrete nanostructures which have five attributes.) You would only have to write to a new disc every N billions of years.
I don’t have a favorite ‘actual’ war, but my answer is the the internal war. Some of us fight harder and take more damage than others, and some don’t have much conflict at all… or at least that’s how it seems. I wonder how much better the world would be if more people paid attention to the inner war and learned from it? Sometimes it’s only as serious as two worldviews that don’t mesh properly.
The administration of President Joe Biden had considered blocking the battalion from receiving US assistance amid reports of involvement in human rights violations, but Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Friday that such abuses had been “effectively remediated”.
So, we effectively dragged our feet until we got assurances that the battalion corrected its behavior? Yet, when it comes to the UNWRA, we’re quick to cease funding on a faint glimmer of a rumor.
Wtf, something like that really happened: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/tamir-rice-shooting-family-sued-over-unpaid-ambulance-bill-of-son-shot-dead-by-cleveland-police-a6866896.html
I think I made an unclear comment, lol. I actually meant it in a good way. It looks like a strong knot that holds up until it’s time to take it apart, in which case it would be somewhar easier than a bowline.
The right one looks easier to undo than a bowline.
Here’s a story for you: Poisoned trees gave a wealthy couple in Maine a killer ocean view. Residents wonder, at what cost?
TL;DR: it’s not worth it.
I’m not sure anything short of a large, sympathetic militia and/or military intervention was going to help, since the farmers had armed men.
That said, who else but cops would be using rubber bullets? Seems suspicious… maybe the cops didn’t just fail to stop the farmers after all.
Just trying to look at the thing from every angle.
For anyone not getting this reference it’s a fascinating, but sad story: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Howe_Lovatt
