North Korea runs out of shells, asks Russia to be rearmed.
You’re thinking of crossover cables, though I’m not sure if those are still necessary.
It is as bad as gambling if not worse, you don’t even know what you are buying.
To be fair, booster packs are designed primarily to be used to play in limited formats like draft or constructed. People buying boosters to try and pull expensive cards are doing themselves a disservice by not just buying or trading for the singles they want.
Airlines don’t care if you make it off the plane in one piece.
It’s the regulatory bodies doing all the safety heavy lifting and ensuring airlines and airframe manufacturers follow the rules.
My Sharp TV runs Roku software. Suffice it to say I do not have it web connected and use an android box instead
I was probably well into fanboy status with Windows Phone. I wanted that to succeed so badly I also owned 4 different devices.
Frankly I feel uneasy when I’m driving around at 50km/h on residential streets. It’s just too fast to be able to react to a kid or an animal jumping out from behind a parked car. So not only is 50 more lethal, it also reduces reaction time and increases braking distance. It’s crazy that anybody ever thought this was a good idea to begin with.
In fact, treat all video game releases this way.
If people stop preordering or buying on day one regardless of the quality of the product, maybe publishers will finally take notice and start pushing games that actually function.
I’m a bit torn. On the one hand, Subnautica is one of my favourite games of all time and suffers from not being entirely replayable, so another game in the series should be a no-brainer.
On the other hand, Below Zero was a major disappointment and I’m wondering if Unknown Worlds even understand what made the first game so special.
I definitely sobbed at the end. Andrew Prahlow deserves huge credit for his musical score, I can’t even listen to Travelers on its own without somebody cutting onions.
All the conversations at the very end of the game hit me right in the gut every time I read them.
This song is new to me, but I am honored to be a part of it.
The past is past, now, but that’s… you know, that’s okay! It’s never really gone completely. The future is always built on the past, even if we won’t get to see it.
When my kind found the Eye and realized what it was capable of, they were terrified. It was too difficult a truth. Like a light too bright to look upon directly, it burned them. What they could not unlearn was hidden away in darkness — obfuscated, then lost. They did not want to see their story end. My kind weren’t always like this. We weren’t always so afraid. I did what I could to set things right, yet I am still of my kind, and you know now what they did. I cannot promise our fear won’t stain your mind.
…How beautiful. It’s different than I’d envisioned. Whatever happens next, I do not think it is to be feared.
Don’t sleep on this one. This game is a profound masterpiece and I recommend everybody play this without any story spoilers.
For those that aren’t familiar and want to know more, Outer Wilds is a first person space-based mystery and exploration game. You are given free rein to take your space ship to any planet in the solar system. There are no combat encounters and no objective markers. Your immediate goal is set by you and your own curiosity. Depending on your pace you can expect to spend about 20 hours to finish the base game, and then another 10-15 for the DLC.
The big hook that got me to play was knowing that once you have played through this game to completion for the first time, you will never again be able to experience it in the same way. I’ve been chasing that feeling by watching other people do blind playthroughs on youtube and I’ve even forced one of my friends to play it while I watched him. Sort of like Subnautica, where
once you’ve played the entire game then the fear of the unknown that stuck with you at first is gone and the next time you play you realize how important that was to your enjoyment of the game. Outer Wilds is a game driven by your knowledge of events that already took place hundreds of thousands of years ago, you just have to put it all together. Once you’ve learned what there is to learn, you can’t undo that.
SimCity’s core gameplay loop was so satisfying but you could only play for a few hours before there was nothing else to do.
I loved seeing the sewer and water overlay showing globs of liquid moving through the pipes and slowly making its way to and from all the different buildings.
This is into the realm of semantics now but it isn’t even called the first amendment.
