This is when we find out rent is $4000/month
I think the reason may be two-fold.
The first part, in the eyes of most older people, a man is not supposed to be emotional or give into their more “feminine” feelings. This means they don’t want their wives or children to be the ones that hear the things that concern them or probably scare them, deep down. Most of the stances of conservatives seem rooted in fear, not reason.
The second part is that you are another man, a younger man, and because they don’t know you well you are less risky to tell these things to. They can confide their fears in you because you are a young man, with a life ahead of you and you’ll give them an ear even if you don’t intend to. Really they are probably hoping someone will hear them even if they can’t really pour their hearts out.
Biological functions would also be impacted
Get your own Arris Surfboard without the Router elements, make sure it is DOCSIS 3.1 and the maximum bandwidth exceeds your current speed provided by the ISP. I would recommend the SB8200 but check with your ISP to guarantee that they will accept a connection with that model.
Purchase any router you like. I’m sure you can find plenty of router recommendations online. If you wanted a rack router you could even get one of those, but it sounds like you just need a solid wireless router that has good coverage and a few ports on the back, which is pretty standard.

Yeah but isn’t that on the provider to verify?
I need to read more of the court case, did he just create a ton of free accounts? If that’s the case, then he shouldn’t be charged with anything because the worst crime he has committed is breaching TOS. Don’t they have arbitration clauses in those?
After reading a bit more it appears he social engineered away some of the limits AWS and Microsoft impose on new customers and just never paid his bills, regardless of how high the bills are. This still seems like a civil case, not a criminal case. If he stole money from a bank, criminal case. But he stole usage from two corporate entities by never paying for the usage. Imagine getting dragged into a criminal case for not paying your telephone bill.
I love how the article mentions these defrauded cloud providers by their headquarters, as if this obscures the fact we’re talking about Amazon Web Services and Microsoft respectively.
Hmmm maybe if the future of the nation’s infrastructure thought about limiting climate change instead of contributing to it…
The senior dev left monitor looking like those Instagram posts that increase your phone brightness by 100x
What do you mean? You don’t write your email in your IDE and lint it before copy/pasting it into Outlook (or email client of choice)?
$90 trillion great wealth transfer. As if that money is going into the hands of people who aren’t already obscenely wealthy to begin with.
Almost as if the article was already written by AI 🤷♂️
It’s a good counterpoint on the book’s premise, but I think completely disagreeing with the potential for social media to cause mental harm is toxic and avoids a conversation worth engaging with. If we are going to give our kids social media or highly incentivizing games at a young age, we should be prepared for a generation that is completely dependent on artificial dopamine rushes.
Of course the science will have a hard time proving that when there’s hundreds of billions of dollars invested against finding substantial evidence to suggest social media and gaming can create toxic feedback loops.
Doesn’t mention what transitioned the Millenials into phones: The Game Boy. And before that, the television. However television is much more passive than gaming, the video games came first then social media and mobile phones gamified real-life simulation.
Edit: I like games as much as the next person, but come on let’s be real. I have a very difficult time putting my phone down and when I was a kid I had a difficult time putting the Game Boy down. It’s a habit first. It’s a dependence second.
Hey, if you understand Python it makes sense. If you’ve used the PIL before it makes even more sense. If you don’t understand Python, you should probably start by understanding Python.
How many people are commonly backing into spaces? I think the people I’ve seen or heard, online or otherwise, have just been the same people that don’t want to bother backing into spaces. I don’t think their logic is very sound, it’s just about thinking they’re wasting time probably.
Who said security ever had to be difficult for the end-users? The companies that charge $15k per month per service to keep your company audit-ready. Oh and Microsoft is one of the more “seamless” providers for auth and security services out there, amazing.
I hear so many people say people are dumb for backing into spaces, it makes me want to back into spaces more 😈
That first name is despicable, I love it
