Oh good yes, pleeeaaaase! Every time I read something talking about LLMs as if they are sentient I cringe. It’s so stupid.
Never mind, scarier stuff is being released from day one: https://fuelarc.com/cars/tesla-robotaxi-freaks-out-and-drives-into-oncoming-traffic-on-first-day/
Oof, these highlighted parts from only one video are already enough for me. This looks very stressful, I don’t think I could finish a whole ride with one of these.
Yeah, sounds about right.
Watching the video that’s still pretty tame. Not good, but nothing to make the news either. I expect much worse.
I wonder how long the facade will hold. They can’t restrict the service to pro-Tesla influencers forever and the safety guys will have to go eventually. How long before weird or dangerous incidents start to happen? Days, weeks? It won’t take months, of that I am certain.
Oh but Europe can do something about it, it would only take a long time and be very costly.
Sell, sell, sell! Intel stocks, I mean.
The failure modes will be hilarious!
I blocked links to reddit in my settings to filter out the many bot-crosspost. Works well, I haven’t seen reddit in months.
This is a very unpopular opinion in online discourse, where discussion can only ever be “won”. I think this is an inherent property of the medium and cannot be changed. But one can dream…
People keep trying to attribute planning to what can be much more plausibly explained by idiocy. Trump is not “strategically” dozing the rose garden to distract from the real news, he’s just a tasteless brutish moron.
Nuclear fusion seems increasingly achievable.
Do investors still fall for this?
All for one more venture funding round before the company folds.
I hate how the article anthropomorphosizes the LLM output. Apparently journalists still don’t understand what the technology is.
This nonesense just won’t die, will it? These stupid LLMs won’t replace anybody, they are not intelligent. Anyone who actually tried can attest to that. We are as close to actual AI as we’ve been for the last 20 years.
I read through these and it’s 80% AI crap that no one asked for. New features? Recall and copilot trash. Bugs? Problems with Recall and copilot. I’m so glad I switched to Linux some months ago. If Microsoft doesn’t see reason soon, they might just kill windows.
This short article is so true it hurts. And of course management never understood this in the first place.
