  • You just live in an area where you’ve decided that everyone needs to get around in luxury vehicles, and you’ve built that into your infrastructure.

I did not decide that. The cold hard reality is that my work and my home are 15 miles (24km) apart. That’s a 1.5 hour bike ride, 3 hours round trip. You are absolutely right about costs, but I have NO option to bus, I cannot bike that daily, none of my coworkers live next to me.

I want more public transport. I would rather live with just a single car in my household that we use solely for large trips and moving large amounts of stuff. God knows it would be cheaper. I’d like that. I can’t feasibly do it.

I don’t know where you live, but that’s just not true in large swaths of America. The other options add multiple hours round trip anywhere and in many parts of the US it’s not an option.

My work is currently a 20 minute drive down a freeway going 60 mph. There is no bus to take that route. There isn’t even a connection, or a transfer, the only other option would be a cab.

  • What I usually do is think about all the time today when I wanted to be left alone. To be uninterrupted. To just get five minutes to myself.

Because now, I have it. I have all the time in the world. I can do nothing. I can let my mind wander. No one will interrupt, no one will dump bullshit on me. Countless times today I just wanted a pause button for five minutes and now I have hours to just do nothing.

Then I wake up and realize “nope, all that time is now gone”. Can’t catch a fuckin break.

  • Murdoch was dead on. I thought face was pretty good. Liam did a decent Hannibal and BA was fine.

What irked me was this weird back story of like… trying to let face taking over to lead the group sort of thing, plus the romance. It really rubbed me the wrong way.

Like, the A team isn’t some club, they’re this perfect storm of chaos towards bad guys, there isn’t so much a hierarchy as just this inexplicable plot armor and audacity. If it wasn’t all four it would all fall apart.

  • I’m not. What do you get as a reward for blowing the whistle? Genuinely?

    1. There’s no bounty, even if there was you wouldn’t get it for at least a year after you blow the whistle.

    2. Once it’s discovered it’s you, you’re fired. There goes your paycheck, your health insurance. Now your home is in jeopardy and you have no decent income verification to get a new one.

    3. Good luck working in any job even remotely related to what you know. You now have a stigma in any background check and while a privately owned mom & pop might look at you favorably, there ain’t a single corporation who will take pride in hiring you. You’re risky.

The most ethical person, is one with no debt, who owns their home, and has 8 months expenses saved up. That’s not most Americans right now.
