i wish all city/economy building games had a stronger destruction-by-social/political-means game play elements beyond city/economy building like tropico has in balancing your islands’ political factions from couping or voting you out of office; both internal and world superpower backed rebellions; industry induced pollution & resource depletion; social engineering espionage; pirate attacks; economy & military crippling crime or corruption in your police, military and government officials; protests escalating into rebellions or economic disruptions; and military invasions & economic sanctions from those superpower countries if you don’t comply sufficiently with their interests.

i know that city skylines includes natural disasters like tropico does and that helps with the appeal to me; but i never tried the other 2. do they have anything like those things i described?

  • Also, the antisemitism talked about in the article is genuine hatred of Jewish people, not just anti-Israel rhetoric.

i was referring to the american version of the anti-isreal rhetoric; there’s a bill in congress that will enable labeling anti-genocide protestors as antisemitic and will give our government the ability to treat them as a hate group as was done in france with the radical islamic group thing.

jonas paris is the example used to justify the labeling like fox news shows stock footage of gang violence to activate their base or democrats pointing to plan 2025 to activate theirs.

  • I could get on board if manufacturers were making $10,000 sub 50 mile vehicles that were compatible with a swap station so you could switch to a larger battery for the weekend. This would have to be a standard adopted by all however, and even before that, they’d have to make small cars. Which they won’t, because we all know they are too busy making trucks and SUVs.

they make $10k ev’s with 250 mile ranges that are for sale everywhere except the united states & canada. you can get them in australia or western europe for a 50-75%-ish tariff depending on which country you’re in…
