I honestly feel like this is some sort of genetic thing. Even kittens, who have never had a chance to be taught this, somehow know exactly when the most inopportune time is and seem to focus on getting it just right.

Well it’s not working. Got a paywall here on mobile Firefox, no extensions that modify or strip links.
How were the switches designed such that they prevented accidental activation? Because it looks like they just get simply flipped down. Could it be pull-out-and-down? Or maybe there’s a lot of resistance during the switch action?
The lever-lock fuel switches are designed to prevent accidental activation - they must be pulled up to unlock before flipping, a safety feature dating back to the 1950s. This isn’t a new or weird design. It’s essentially the standard used in basically every plane because it works.
“It would be almost impossible to pull both switches with a single movement of one hand, and this makes accidental deployment unlikely,” a Canada-based air accidents investigator, who wanted to remain unnamed, told the BBC.
Or… Hear me out… The authoritarian fucks simply massacred the civilians that dared to oppose them.
Occam’s Razor here. The simplest answer is usually the most correct.
They have never considered actually competing have they?
Right? Did they think the name wasn’t a description of the music they play for some reason?
The fact an order of magnitude made functionally no difference is ridiculous.
That’s illegal in most places. Votes are anonymous specifically on purpose. Numerous people have been threatened to vote certain ways in the past all over the world. If there is no record of you specifically voting a specific choice, you can’t be forced to vote a specific way. And you can’t be targeted after the fact for that vote.

The third of it that voted for exactly this.
No, Satan dared to defy his father and was thrown out of the house.
None of these fucks would dare defy their daddy Trump.
Don’t forget the eruv circling Manhattan so they can ignore other Sabbath rules wholesale while going about their days.
This is one of those situations where adhering to the treaty doesn’t actually do anything positive, it just handicaps Ukraine’s options.
A primary reason for the treaty is that landmines are indiscriminant and they last well beyond the length of the war they’re placed for. So civilians are at risk decades after a war ends. The intent is to prevent ANY mines from being placed, by having everyone agree not to place them ahead of time.
However, Russia is going to place mines anyway no matter what. So there are going to be landmines in the area because of them regardless even if Ukraine doesn’t place their own, so the danger will already be there, except Ukraine will have one less tool to fight with.
I switched to Bitwarden after the LastPass stuff a couple years ago, and I just got around to installing Vaultwarden on my TrueNAS system at home. Using a single Cloudflare Tunnel to handle secure external connections for that and other services like Emby easily. Took a little bit to setup following some guides, but has been working flawlessly for me and some friends. You can use the regular Bitwarden apps and extensions since they natively support self hosting.
You do know there’s a reason for that voice difference in MGSV right?
Exactly. They were using bullshit screening like this well before LLMs came on the scene.
Any backers if there are any, searching their name online to see about controversial decisions.
And then I default to replacing them. Most people vote to keep the status quo… I’d rather keep them on their toes.
Reminder that Fox News was created in the wake of Watergate specifically because media coverage of the scandal went from non-existent to shifting public opinion against it in weeks. It was created to be a dedicated Republican party propaganda platform to prevent that from ever happening again.
Very few people even bother to clock the link. They only ever read the headline.
Considering the entire prison population was about 7,500 last year and they only have about 5,000 beds across all facilities… That’s a pretty large percentage.
And to add to that, from this specific article:
They’re looking at a 500% increase in the prison population within a decade because of the new policies. If that’s not a shift towards mass incarceration I’d like to know what your definition would be.
