Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Video games with good cave and dungeon ambience music? (Other than TES)
1·5 days agoCave noises are fire, but ambience in general is sometimes pretty bad. You’ll often hear happy/calm music while something intense is happening, and there are very few true ambient noises

141·7 days agoHigh chance if he decided to take home “just” $10 million per year, he could pay every single one of the Valve employees at least 100k more every year.
That or they could take less than 30% from developer profits.

Apple@lemmy.world•iPad - Anyone else feel the only reason this still exists is because Apple is stubborn?
1·11 days agoIf I were using the Mini, it would be because of the pencil. And if they gave iPhones (especially Pro Max) Apple Pencil support, although the experience would be a bit better on an iPad Mini, would it really be worth it for most people to buy, charge, and bring an extra device everywhere?
But, because Apple won’t do that, it’s a good device for some people. 120hz would make it great.

Apple@lemmy.world•iPad - Anyone else feel the only reason this still exists is because Apple is stubborn?
1·11 days agoWell there’s no denying that’s inconvenient even if it’s what you prefer.
But why? I use a Leobog Hi75 on my PC which is a very thocky mech board, but I still appreciate the MacBook keyboard for being a decently satisfying keyboard especially considering how thin it is.

Apple@lemmy.world•iPad - Anyone else feel the only reason this still exists is because Apple is stubborn?
2·11 days agoI’ll admit it, if you don’t need MacOS to run software, iPad Pros are pretty great. But I wish they’d let us run external apps or MacOS apps!
My complaints start when you have to bring both along with you on the go. I think it should be one or the other.

Apple@lemmy.world•iPad - Anyone else feel the only reason this still exists is because Apple is stubborn?
3·11 days agoI wouldn’t feel like this if they give us the OPTION for the MacBook to replace the iPad by giving it a 180° touchscreen with Pencil support, or for the iPad to replace the MacBook by allowing us to run external apps or MacOS.
On second thought, this is not about at home. Actually, an iPad synergies pretty amazingly with the other devices when being over-encumbered or away from an outlet isn’t an issue!
It’s just that on the go, ANOTHER device to deal with is annoying. It’s like bringing an external keyboard to use with your laptop because the keyboard is broken. You wouldn’t have to if it worked fine in the first place.
That’s why it doesn’t fit my workflow and I wish they gave us other options.

MacBooks are pretty practical. ARM laptops like MacBooks have genuinely ridiculously good battery life; I was genuinely shocked the first time I used one.
Yes, ARM windows exists, but it’s clunky and has little support because unlike MacBooks, not all Windows laptops run ARM, so developers have little incentive to make ARM Windows versions their apps.

Nope.
