It’s very common for a game that exceeds expectations this much to have server struggles. It’s hard to scale up this fast.
What do you mean by that? There are recent releases on their github.
It has very positive reviews so far
Lemmy is FOSS and largely used by anticapitalist tech nerds (I say this positively). Chrome is one of the most significant monopolies in tech. I don’t know why you wouldn’t expect this to be a common topic.
Firefox can always compete, because if it ever stopped existing Google would have an antitrust case on their hands. For the same reason, Google cannot violate web standards, like what has happened in previous browser wars.
I don’t agree that Firefox is unable to render a portion of the web, I’ve been using it for years and have never once run into a website that had a problem with my browser. I thought once that studentaid.gov did, but that turned out to be a problem with extensions. I’ve seen more websites that have issues with me using Linux than with Firefox.
Same here. It’s probably the game I have the most hours in. I’ve spent a lot of time on it with my closest friends, so its sad to see it where it’s headed.
What skins did they take? Afaik every skin was left in the game.
Overwatch was 100% a great game at one point, there was a reason it had so many players. I love Overwatch and TF2, and while they’re similar conceptually, they really don’t play that similarly. Especially competitively.
It was, but it bombed pretty hard. The new one was given a much larger budget and has a lot of a new ideas.
That’s just not true, the game is at 89% positive. The game has gun balancing problems, but so does every shooter ever. They regularly release patches to shake up the meta.
It’s a new engine, which is more than enough to warrant a new title imo. CS has been practically the same game many years and has been incredibly successful all that time. The community does not want major gameplay changes, just minor improvements. CS as a series is not like COD or Battlefield.
CS2 has much more advanced and consistent smokes, vastly improved graphics, more advanced netcode, competitive improvments alongside a new competitive mode similar to FaceIT, and loads of quality of life improvements. I think this is more than enough to be considered a sequel.
If you spend some time learning how docker/podman works you’ll be able to host practically anything!
Flamethrower buff made it really good against them. Railgun will still be really good, especially if you blow off the leg armor and shotgun it. Antitank is really good too, one hit and a few shots will kill.
