Well the purpose of the hate list like this isn’t “what symbols not to use” so much as, if a guy uses this and there’s context to suggest it’s a dogwhistle, this is what it means.

As a concrete example, If someone turns to a camera makes the ok gesture then punches a black guy that can be used as evidence in conjunction with a database like this to add a hate crime charge onto the assault charge.

A bunch of nazi’s used it as a dog whistle and it got added to a database of hate symbols.

Well apparently it’s programmed to bypass the safety system after 3 attempts under the assumption that the user knows best.

This seems like a really dumb choice, but I can see why an engineer would want to point out that it’s not incompetent engineering but an incompetent business department.

A face to face would be fine, I just find that the shitty quality of a phone call and the fact I can’t see their face or body language completely destroys my ability to both understand and be understood.l and especially my ability to judge their emotional state. Unless I have both written down what I need to communicate and write down everything they communicate I will remember nothing that happened. These aren’t problems I have in a voip call at all, I spend all day in teams calls.

I still make them from time to time, but I will jump at any option to not have a phone call even at extreme inconvenience.

I love my bolt euv, but they are hard to get, high demand and discontinued. For me the autopilot is a huge feature, makes moderately long trips way less fatiguing. It has great set of camera for maneuvering and isn’t too big (still I would prefer smaller). Range is fine for everything I do, 400km in summer, 275 in winter. That’s what the gauges say, but with good driving habits and practise you can get that significantly better. A full charges costs me about 5 bucks and its very nice to not have to think about it unless roadtripping. It charges slowly compared with some evs but I don’t find a 1hr to full charge on a fast charger particularly problematic. My wife did toronto to ottawa (about 500km) twice now and the stop for charging was shorter than the time it took her to grab lunch. Cooled front seats are very nice and the price was much more affordable than cars with similar ranges. Almost No maintaince is great, although chevvy will message you for an oil.change (lol!).

On the downsides, the bose sound system is crap and there’s no front trunk like many evs.

they become old when they get posted on facebook. They become vintage when most of the facebook boomers stop using them.
