We know it isnt free free. But in this economy you take what you can get.

The reality is that we do not know what the long term effects are. But nonetheless, without knowing what the consequences are, we managed to contaminate most of the planet including our food and water supply with them. Thats what is worrying because there are many cases where we did something similar with disastrous consequences.

Honey is 95 to 99% a solution of a roughly equal proportion of glucose and fructose with other sugars, pollen etc. making up the remainder. HFCS is a solution of ~50 to 55% fructose with the remainder glucose.

TLDR: honey is essentially HFCS with some pollen and a small amount of other sugars mixed in.

There is a lot of variation in how good or bad mods are. On Reddit you get anything from /r/askhistorians mods that are generally qualified in a particular branch of history and do a good job yeeting trash comments and on the other you have the conservative safe space mods that yeet people for not being conservative enough while screeching how pro free speech they are. All in all, I havent dealt much with most mods there.

Here though… theres a lot of automatic moderation going on. At least on the server I am on that yeets comments that say certain bad words which I think is a bit overzealous.

I would say that a lot of this has to do with survivor bias. Most of the shitty soundtracks were forgotten and buried. Only the really good ones had staying power. So it is easy to convince yourself that the past was so much better because you remember the good and a lot less of the absolute trash that existed back then and compare that cherry picked past to today’s mix of good and bad.

Lets get one thing straight: it was always about profit. The only thing that changed is that they figured out that they dont need to put in as much effort to get the same financial result. They are the corporate equivalent of someone realizing they get paid the same wage whether they just barely meet expectations or spend 60 hours a week working their ass off. If gamers want them to put in the work, they have to give them a reason to and right now they’re not.

Do… do they not know that corn was selectively bred from what amounts to a wheat like grass? Modern corn is NOTHING like its wild ancestor (which still grows there) granted thats a different method of altering what genes are or are not there but its still a form of modification by humans. What we used to do is just a very crude and haphazard way of doing it in a way that we have no idea what actually happened whereas with modern GMO, you are making very specific changes.

Yes it does. Every time someone gets infected, it does more damage. And a lot of that damage is essentially permanent. eg. damage to blood vessels, heart tissue etc.

When I was a kid I was afraid of snakes for two reasons: one of my cats would always hunt them then bring them into my room as gifts. So I would wake up to a snake between me and the door. The other is that around here, some of them are fairly aggressive. Ive been chased by snakes while out fishing before.
