There’s too much wheeling and dealing going on to get things passed or rejected in this country. Then, if you voted yes on the “burn a dozen car tires” bill that was earmarked with the “ban private jets and leaded fuel” bill, your opponents will slander you out with adverts that you voted “yes” to burning car tires and you hate the environment.
This is not the definition of “pork” in a bill. This is an addictive that has nothing to do with the bill, sure, but “pork” is when someone diverts funds to their cause with no direct reason to have it in the bill.

I was against banning TikTok despite never having even used it. I still think the fact that’s it’s CCP controlled is a valid point so I get why this doesn’t affect reels or shorts but I still think it’s naive to ignore them. They’re bad for mental health and political division the exact same way TikTok is and just like TikTok there are foreign countries using them for propaganda purposes just aswell.
