I had Youtube Premium - actually I think it was the family subscription - for a year or two. I cancelled it maybe a year ago, because they kept pushing shorts with no way of opting out, they jacked up the price, and they changed the algorithm in a way that made it keep recommending shit that I never, ever wanted to watch. I cancelled that sub and figured out how to get ads blocked on my desktop, phone and apple TV and I’ve showed 10+ people how to get that working since.
So good job on that mission you’re on Google. Really making some money I bet.
I pay for premium… but also like my sponsorblock… and 3rd party clients. Let me have it all momma Google.
I can’t justify premium. For the same price I can buy for my family:
AppleTV+, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+
Or:
YouTube but without ads
Get a VPN and make a quick trip to Turkey or Ukraine where you can get it for about 2€/month
