    They need homes you say… I sense a business opportunity. Once the market crashes, we buy up all the property, control the supply, and inflate the prices.

    No wait, that’s what got us here.

      The first housing bubble is what allowed me to buy a house in the first place! Line yourself up a real estate agent now! :D

        I strained myself a few years ago, and converted to a 15 year in 2021 at 2.375. I’m stuck, and appalled that my 15 yr mortgage + escrow costs less than what my 2BR apartment goes for now… Less than decade later.

        And to be clear… Let the market burn. I don’t care about my home value, I care that my home and others homes are affordable.

          The average house price shouldn’t be $600k+ when minimum wage is still $8 or whatever it is.
