I’m kinda hoping that BG 1 and 2 will eventually get remade in BG 3’s engine via modding
It’s been attempted before with other game engines (like DA: O) but maybe this time it’ll happen. Though I hate to be a negative Nancy but don’t hold your breath with these fan conversions - they’re huge undertakings. Skyblivion actually looks like it might happen, but it’s exceedingly rare.
That was the first thing I thought when I read the news that they unlocked the map editor.
Doesn’t BG2 start off in a dungeon/prison and very similar to how BG3 opens, except it’s not on an illithid space ship? 🤔
The djinnai in that first dungeon was also less of a dick than the one you encounter at the bazaar in 3 lol
