The thing that stands out for me is how open this is. You kind of get used to trump running his mouth off and then other countries representatives continuing with their polite politician-speak, as normal.

I guess Canada are totally sure that people need to know what’s going on and that’s kinda scary.

The close cultural affinity gives us better insight. Europeans seem to see Americans through Hollywood. We see them shopping at Walmart.

Pretty sure Europe is pretty much safe. We got the French. If the world was a marvel movie, they’d be the Hulk.

I’ll do my best to give you a short introduction.

Ever heard of the French revolution and the beheading of rich people? Let’s put it this way, there are no more beheadings but when the government does something that the majority of the population doesn’t like, things start to burn and shit breaks. “Liberté” is a big part if not the biggest part of French culture.

The same goes for their military. France was a colonial power for many centuries. And doesn’t put up with anything if someone tries to act stupid. Like recently when France sent a nuclear submarine to Canada when Trump said he wanted to annex Canada. They also have the Foreign Legion which anyone can join and is considered one of the toughest armies in the world.

I’ve only scratched the surface, but France is basically what you get if fuck around and find out was a country.

internally that sounds great, I wish the US would do the same, the French know how to protest and fight against the rich

internationally the US Navy has a bigger air force than France does and we have states with more land mass, just not sure what France can do to stand up to the US bully

but I’m glad EU is mostly united against this bullshit and again France has nukes so the US can’t risk that

Ukraine should never have given them up and no one will again

America has, without a doubt, the biggest military power. Such great power in the hands of a toddler.

It sad that it has to be like that. I wish we had something like United Nations of Earth like they predicted it in the 70s-90s.

As a Californian, I would love for us to become Canada’s newest province.

I wouldn’t, as Canadian, because California would fully dominate such a union. It would be Canada joining California, not the reverse. Economically, politically, you’d be the biggest and most important province. I doubt you’ll be happy being part of Confederation or being technically a monarchy.

Conveniently, if any states were to join Canada, they would most likely do so as territories (at least initially), and so would be somewhat politically neutered.

They don’t want us. I already asked. But CA, OR, and WA can secede and make Cascadia minus the Canadian portion.
