    Shit, the older I get the less I understand. Nothing makes sense anymore and I don’t know what I’m doing.

      Alternate take:

      The young think they know everything because their life experience is so limited. As you age you (hopefully) begin to realise how truly enormous the wider world of experience is.

      Your knowledge increases but the understanding how how much there is to know grows even faster.

    all i’ve grown to understand is that everything we’re used to was invented in the last 100 years and society is fundamentally exploitative, and it’s our moral duty to overthrow this capitalist hellscape

    somehow i don’t think that’s what people wanted us to understand

      That’s funny, I came in here to write something similar! The most impactful thing that’s been created in the last 50 years is the layer cake of bureaucratic bullshit that is modern society.
