They get you hooked by being a Victorian/Eduardian era fantasy survival with vastly different worlds that are procedurally effected by cards/traits. After you craft the first new gear the suit and pants are replaced by rags and furs, never to return until the super grindy late game. The game is just like every other procedurally generated open world survival and not even the art style sticks around. It becomes just another crafting game in a forest/desert/winter world.

It’s for luck. Like throwing coins into a well or on train tracks. No one said it was a good idea. But it makes some folks feel more calm about their journey, despite wrecking havoc on a turbofan.

I’ll give them the same advice that they gave me: Make coffee at home. Eat less avocado toast. Learn to live without.

Make each kick add more time to a cooldown before the host can kick again. It still allows kicking but prevent aggressive kicking for nonsense reasons like not following the meta.

If a person deliberately sets themselves on fire, they are fairly committed to hurting only them and no one else. Ever burn yourself? You know that blinding feeling and instant, involuntary reaction to get away from the thing burning you? Imagine that all over your body, the sensation of “get the fuck away” coming from everywhere. You aren’t going to have clear minded murder as your next agenda. It’s going to be either get water or die.

Pointing a gun at a person who is trying to die is stupid and shows the only way the gun weilder can understand is to use their fear and threaten something that is clearly not threatening. If you believe that someone who wants to die and is trying to do it to themselves, is a threat, you’re part of the problem.

My daily driver is a Moroni medium-fine weight but the secret is that I sharpen is each time I’m done with it so it can tackle just about anything. If you’ve got a burl, you’ll need something beefier, like a Stanchion heavy weight with the leather grip (remember leather is forever) and a shallow angled blade. It’s more work but it’s much easier.
