Everyone loves me
Everyone loves me
I suspect it’s staged. NEVER try to do this
The road is lava
I pocket these whenever they’re available for free in places where I work. Recently downloaded a free app that measures decibels and was amazed.
Hearing loss is different from other things they warn you about. Get something in my eye? Guess I’ll start wearing eye protection. Back hurts? Guess I’ll start lifting with my knees. Hearing loss is different. You won’t lose your hearing, you’ll lose the ability to understand what people are saying in a noisy environment, it hurts you socially. Having to say “huh?” repeatedly is embarrassing, it makes you withdraw.

9 to 5 is just a phrase referencing a standard full time day shift job not about the specific start/stop times
A small $25,000 house with a 13% mortgage rate. Driving there in her family car (one car shared by the whole family) that get 9 gpm and turns into a pile of rust by the time it gets to 80,000 miles. Oh and unemployment was 7.5% and minimum wage was $3.10 if you could even find a job
I can do the same by cupping my hand in my armpit then jerking my arm down like a chicken wing real fast. Is this still a thing? I haven’t been a kid since the 70’s
Sure I do, I can change channels
IMO if/when people snap out of it they just fade away and don’t post about it. We all have our pride. These people were convinced they were so much smarter than everyone else, that’s a tough pill to swallow. The same thing happens with cults and political beliefs. That’s why I try to keep things light hearted and civil when debating politics. Leave wiggle room for people to come around. It’s not about humiliating them, it’s about seeing the light
You’re getting down voted but no one has answered you.
25 Minutes To Go also
I’ve done a few trips. When everything is on time it’s a great experience IMO. When it’s running late it can suck. A few things I tell interested people:
Have a different mindset compared to flying. A plane trip is hectic and cramped but it’s over in a few hours, it’s a means to getting somewhere. Your vacation begins when you land. On a train the voyage is part of the vacation. It’s chill and you’ll meet nice people.
Amtrak has a website where you can see where the trains are at in real time. It’ll tell you if they are on time or how late they are running. This is real nice because you can put off going to the station if they are hours late. The first time I rode they didn’t have this yet and we felt trapped.
I got the small room (Roomette I think?) twice. It’s small but so am I. It’s two seats facing one another that fold down into a one person bed. Another bed folds down overhead. I got my parents a full size room for their 50th anniversary. It was nice but they spent their awake hours entirely in the observation car.
In my experience their wifi sucks but may have improved. Download books and movies in advance.
Bring your own drinks and snacks! Two meals a day were included with the rooms.
When I took the Coast Starlight I watched a YouTube video in advance that gave good advice about when and where to sit in the observation car for seeing Mount Shasta.
Safe travels!
Yeah way easier now am I right? Maybe you should post instructions for the the old people who don’t know how
If you have a mosquitoe problem first step is prevention. They breed in standing water and it doesn’t have to be deep. Clogged gutters are a common culprit
Ha! I knew you love me !
