Oh, that makes sense. Thanks.

…I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to express here. You say it works, and then you immediately refute it?
That’s Millennials/Gen Z for ya. XD
“They” won’t stop until the world is barren. :/
China may be able boast itself as a green leader, but it sure much growth and destruction to get there.
It’s a tad busy in the visuals, but the descriptions and numerical data help a lot.
I’d say we should prioritize microeconomies. Support your local farmer, and your mom and pop shops. Setup a community garden. Take part in your local governance. It’ll all starts with us. It’s easier said than done, I’m sure. I myself need to apply all of this.
This brought a smile to my face. :D
Given their lack of an external shareholder compensation model, I’d say yes, they can escape infinite growth. Co-ops are the future.
This was quite a good read. The urgency of our situation was conveyed well. I’m not sure how much better our world would fare if it was led by women. There’s been quite a few unsavory characters, namely Hillary Clinton and Marjorie T. Greene, though they are very much a product of this system. Makes for an interesting thought experiment, anyhow.
I agree 100% with having more women at the forefront of politics. I do think it’s a bit naive to believe that is the root of our problems. As the author has outlined, we need to dismantle the current system and start anew. We’ll have to start small with proven practical experiments, however.
I haven’t read the article yet, but this sounds like it would be an incredible return to form for Japan. And then some. Jaoan’s contact with the West changed so much, and much for the worse.
Man, I feel this. Infinite growth is an insane concept.
What we must realize is that capitalist societies would sooner implode themselves than listen to what you have to say on this matter. “But-but capitalism actually works!!!” I’m sure you know this phrase all too well. You won’t be able to convince people until you provide a valid alternative. Before then, you will fall on deaf ears. People have too much invested in this system for your words to sway them.
If you can create your own micro-state with its own economy and governance, and if it solves the problems that capitalism creates, people will flock in droves to become your citizens. People need to see the alternative. You can’t just dump theory and literature on their lap. “We” won’t win by fighting for the planet, we have to change minds. Do that, and the rest will come.
