Ha ha, Reddit went to the dark side and I abandoned them months ago. So who cares what they do now.

We were recently in Wyoming/Montana etc. where the moose and the buffalo roam. We saw people try for their Darwin awards by approaching these wild animals more than once. I feel sorry for their families. But if there ever was a FAFO situation, this is it.
Well, I worked until i was 69, so I wasn’t far off
I am also amused by the fate of a terrorist who attempted to bomb the plane he was on with an underwear bomb. Which ignited rather than exploding and in doing so seriously burned his junk. That was a nice add on for someone who will spend deservedly the rest of their life in a cage.
Why would Finland want to assume responsibility for their former territories in Russia by invading? Finland would then be responsible for an area that is ruined by Russia, and even worse full of surly unproductive Russians.
I’m a scientist. I’ve used the metric system since grade school. In fact, I convert Imperial measurements to metric to do estimates.
To be honest, pizza in its best known iteration originally was from Naples and parts South. When Italian-American GI’s (most were descended from immigrants from Southern Italy where they had pizza) were helping to rid Italy of Nazi’s during WWII, they were aghast that places North of Naples didn’t have pizza. These formerly pizza-free zones then started making pizza to sell to the GI’s and thus to this day you can find pizza even in places as North as around Lake Como. So pizza is more American in Northern Italy than it is Italian.
Well the popularity of Indian food kind of puts the lie to this. Though I suppose it makes more sense to simply switch to Indian food, rather than to try to tart up the wretched crap that passed for food in the UK before colonialism.
Oh, this will help /s
Ha ha! I don’t use Instagram nor have I any interest in it whatsoever.
When doing my NIH traineeship, in the new lab, it came to be my turn to do the monthly radiation inventory. When going down the list, while checking the radio labeled nucleotides and labeled reagents in the freezer etc, I came across an entry for 600 Curies of Co 60! Freaking out I immediately went to the PI and told him about this. He laughed and said someone had to be responsible for the campus radiation source and since our lab used it a lot to make feeder cells, we were the lucky custodians of said source. I did get quite the fright though!
