This shit don’t mean nothing to me, man.
It was unplugged at the time. I was changing my sheets because the dogs got the ones that were in the bed covered in mud. I turned around and the puppy had drug the blanket across the room and was going to town on it. -_-
Thank you so much for your help! My puppy has never chewed cords like this before, so I was honestly pretty surprised. I’m just going to get a new one at this point lol.
Here’s pics of the tag and the remote. Please excuse how grimey the blanket is. My puppy was covered in mud when she went on the rampage against the blanket cord. She’s been such a little shit all damn day lol.
No. It’s wrecked.
Windows, but only at night.
Legs is the crippled duck in the front. Cayenne is the brown duck on the left. Judy is the white duck in the back

I have 10 birds total, but the others are hard to get pics of.
I’m really good at raising, training, and handling ducks. I’m the duck expert of my family and friend groups. I’m also damn good at treating injured or sick ducks myself, but that’s a necessity because there aren’t any vets remotely close to me that treat waterfowl. Performed very minor surgery on one of mine a couple months ago and he is totally fine now. I also treated a crippled duckling who was really close to needing put down and managed to get her legs working well enough for her to have a good life. She walks on her knees, but she gets around just as well as the other birds now. It’s her first birthday in a couple weeks.
Lemmy and Discord mostly. I watch a lot of YouTube. I also spend days going down Wikipedia rabbit holes.
I have FB only because I have friends who communicate primarily through messenger. They have shit cell signal where they live, so they use messenger on wifi. I told them they have different options, but they like messenger so whatever lol. I’ll deal with it because I love the fools and enjoy their company lol.
I miss r/asbestosremovalmemes. It wasn’t a big enough community to try to replicate here on Lemmy. Asbestos memes are so goddamn funny to me.
1000%
Anyone who says that there are some good cops are full of shit. Every cop is at least complicit in corruption and crime. My mom’s friend’s husband is a cop and my mom was like, “oh he’s such a a good man. Been a cop for 15 years!” and I responded with something like “Dude wouldn’t be a cop for long if he didn’t participate in or turn a blind eye to corruption and straight up crimes. Cops who are against that aren’t cops for long.”
Like, the person she was talking about might be nice enough outside of work, but he is 100% a bastard at LEAST while on duty. Like every other cop.
If my incredibly accomplished ankle surgeon/podiatrist wanted me to have special shoes, he would have told me lol. He told me that I have to figure out what feels good for me since every case is different. I also have some bad nerve damage on the left side of my leg from the injury and surgery. Can hardly feel anything other than the hardware. Numbness goes from the bottom of my foot to my knee. It’s not helping shoes feel good either lol.
I have trouble with things that are too hard, like going barefoot, and things that are too soft, like the new balance sneakers I wore when I had to wear a small brace after coming out of a walking boot. I used to love wearing minimal stuff on my feet, but I can’t do it now. I’m hoping to be able to get to that point again some day
I’m going to an outdoor mall with some friends in a couple weeks so we can try to find me some shoes. There’s like 3 or 4 shoe stores, so hopefully I’ll find something. My doctor told me that supportive shoes would be best, but didn’t say what specific kind of support since my ankle hardware and bones are completely stable. He told me to go with whatever feels the best when doing daily stuff and the physical therapy exercises. I think I’ll be able to trust my body enough to get the right shoes. I know what shoes don’t work for me rn… All of the ones I own 🥲
My friends and I are going to make a big trip to an outdoor mall that has like 3 or 4 shoe stores in a few weeks to hang out together while I quest for shoes. I’m very excited. I know I’ll probably end up dropping a lot more money than I want on shoes right now, but I gotta get better.
My mom loves Altra shoes. Her feet are weird and her one ankle is all fucked up from two bothed reconstruction surgeries. She said they’re the only shoes that don’t hurt. She doesn’t have hardware like I do and had very different surgery than me, however. I’ll see if I can try her pair on sometime and see how they fit. We’re the same size, conveniently lol
Thank you for all of the advice!
I have a lot of pets and caring for them is my passion. That’s part of why I have so many. Caring for them is self-care for myself. It makes me feel good. I have two dogs, two cats, and 10 ducks. I have a few jumping spiders living inside my house, but they’re not pets. Just guests that help me get rid of any other bugs.
