Not even “a charity” but those are fine. A mutual aid network is fulfilling. My community has formed an informal, unorganized mutual aid of sorts. We don’t necessarily agree with politics or personalities but when we have something to share, time, labor, food, ideas, a few of us are very responsive. The rest work and have children so they’re kind of already plates full, thanks.
Write a letter to the editors of major media outlets, including Forbes and wish. Complain bitterly about politics stifling business, innovation and your freedoms, courtesy copy your Republican and Dem representatives at state and national levels.
Taking a moment to thank the creators of Lemmy, who get boatloads of abuse and zero appreciation from the commie/tankie haters. I don’t always agree with their politics, I do on enough, but fact is, none of us would be here, without them.

It’s not always the journalists’ fault. Ultimate responsibility, regardless of fault, lies with the editor.
That said, most large news organizations are beholden to monied interests, and ethical journalism is all but dead, excepting a very few independent news sources that don’t rely heavily on all would -be advertisers or donors.
