In contrast to stuff like AI training or crypto, chips at least fulfill an actually useful function, so I don’t see the issue with their manufacturing consuming a lot of energy. Or should we compare the same for cars or medicine?

I’d put building cathedrals and pyramids more on slaves than worship of deity
Neither where build by slaves.
Then check the verb in your title. Using is not making. And ‘Kindle’ is used like Kleenex, as a generic term for eBook readers.
Step 1: Buy a Kindle on Amazon…
You gotta be kidding me
The only thing we’re going to regret, in fact already are, is sucking up to them for the last decades, while allowing them to steal every bit of manufacturing know how we had for some cheap labor
Kotlin has not, and, and or utility functions as well
Yeah, I noticed that too. Makes it impossible for your mouse to stay in the gutter to avoid auto play

Could we not link to this nazi enabling platform?
As @Encrypt-Keeper put it so well:
Trees are trees, but trees aren’t forests.
Forests are what’s actually worth prtotecting. This is not different from a field of corn. There is no ecological value to a farm of pine trees. If you ever walked in one, you would know that.
Better lay off another thousand people, just for good measure
