I was never 35. Thought I was 36 until my 36th birthday when I realized I had been wrong for the previous year.
Thanks for saying this. I’m pretty tired of people talking about how we have changed the definition of ai to include this stuff whereas I remember talking about ai in terms of things like random forests and q learning 20 years ago
There was a study a while ago what showed money correlated well with happiness until about 100k/yr of income in the US, at which point it flatlined. I can’t remember how long ago this was and inflation would certainly make that number high today, but it made sense other than that even at the time I thought 100k was a but low for the flatline, but I’ve lived in some of the most expensive areas of the US and in Japan through my life, so I’m sure my experiences are a very skewed.
By your estimate, visa used 3.4x the power of eth. I would guess visa handles much much more than 3.4x the volume of currency transactions and is way more efficient on energy.
Bayside, we’ll be ok
We’ll be okay, We both got what we wanted, I got sex you got fame
Cats have also been around in the UK significantly longer than many other places. Here in Hawaii they’re a plague on native species that had no such predators before.
I wanted cheesy, but I ended up with two romance novels I would read in one sitting each.
“Union” - your boss, probably
Lain is a great anime with a great opening, but cowboy bebebop/tank not being on top makes zero sense.
To add another example, The Millenium dome raid is a good story of a foiled heist that is reminiscent of cinematic heists.
I would love to see a “no heating system”color on this map. I have no heat in my house (HI) and that’s really common here; Hawaiʻi would probably be a bright beacon in an otherwise empty map
I did something similar (but in a nicer way for me). The entire age of 35 I thought I was 36, and I found out on my 36th birthday that I was gonna be 36 for a second year in a row.
So exactly as secure as we thought, then.
I have both and while it is usually easy to tell the difference I have been fooled before. Also , since my breathing is always at least a little impaired, albuterol helps me breathe better during a panic attack and often helps a little. It’s not surprising doctors would misdiagnose in a kid. Unfortunately if I take too much albuterol, the antsiness from the inhaler then just adds to the feelings of anxiety.
I no longer have a family and don’t prioritize personal safety, but there are a lot of cars that aren’t too old which are still quite safe and lack all the connectivity crap.
You’re not wrong about those things being issues, but also people do electric conversions all the time, there are shops that specialize in it and premade kits you can buy for it. Low range is certainly a very common outcome, but I don’t have big range requirements for most of my driving. Plus, I love taking on projects that are way over my had and muddling through them somehow. It’s how I learn best.
One of several reasons I really want to do an electric conversion of an old car rather than buying a new electric car.
I vaguely recall a study from well over a decade ago where they used a light patch so that the only change in light for the sleeping participants would be on the skin and showed that circadian rhythm wasn’t dependent (solely, at least) on eyesight. Mind you this is a vague memory from a long time ago so take it with a grain of salt.
