Palestinians lives matter to me. They should also matter to Palestinian political leadership.
Palestinians have the right to self determination, as do Israelis. So they should find a way to share the land.
Palestinians have a right to resist and use violence even. However this has not been a successful tactic except during the first intifada. Hamas‘ violent resistance from Gaza over the last 20 years has been an utter failure to the detriment of Palestinians and their goals.
Those westerners advocating for eternal violent resistance and for Israel‘s destruction are not acting in the interest of most Palestinians.
Palestinians are oppressed by Israel, the Islamo-fascist authoritarians of Hamas, the police state of the PA, the governments of Lebanon and Syria denying them equal rights as citizens. UMRWA is holding their future hostage, denying them to build a new life elsewhere, keeping them downtrodden and dependent on western aid. Palestinians deserve much better. Fundamental irredentist nationalism leads nowhere but suffering.
I never advocated for extermination of children. No child should be enlisted to fight in a war either. They deserve to grow up with love and hope for the future.
If you read the links, they contain references to reports of human rights groups like amnesty international.
Unhinged is denying the abuse of Palestinian children by their own people. You don’t give a shit about actual Palestinians. You only hate Israel.
7 BIC or bust
Sure, the IDF takes in a few 17 year olds. I haven’t heard of anyone underage serving in combat though. I’m sure it happened during the war of independence and earlier at times though.
Hamas reportedly used minors in military roles in Gaza, mostly lookouts and such.
Military training for 15 year old teenagers is not the same as 17 year olds.
Israel is a state and can legally recruit 16 year olds and older. I’m not aware that Israel does this though. Hamas as a non state actor is only allowed 18 years and above.
The use of minors by Palestinian armed groups has been documented many times over the decades.
Have you ever talked to Palestinians? This isn’t even a secret. The youth culture, especially in refugee camps, is big on idolizing martyrs.
The most recent example of a terrorist group run by teenagers is Lion‘s Den in the West Bank.
Now, is every Palestinian teenager member of an armed group and fighting actively? Certainly not.
Read my comment until the end.
Palestinian teenagers joining the ranks of armed groups like Hamas are nothing new.
I have read several reports of Gazan boys being used as unarmed sentries and scouts by militants.

Death sentences for combatants are of course illegal and unacceptable, especially when underage.
The Knesset also contains people opposed to the war. I don’t see how such an attack would bring a military advantage.

In so far as objects are concerned, military objectives are limited to those objects which by their nature, location, purpose or use make an effective contribution to military action and whose partial or total destruction, capture or neutralization, in the circumstances ruling at the time, offers a definite military advantage.
Killing Hamas civilian leaders in charge of internal security, meaning they also hunt Israeli spies, would bring an obvious military advantage.
Attacking the Israeli defense ministry or border police, the prime minister, or the cabinet could be justified as giving a military advantage.
Now, I’m not sure if civilian leadership of the armed forces count as combatants or not. However an attack should be covered by the above. IANAL of course.
Don’t get me wrong. Israel certainly commits war crimes, I’m not sure this was one.
The BBC reports things both sides find inconvenient for their narrative.
Yes, their numbers are the best available. The health ministry has adjusted and corrected their numbers at times though. They increase the total number reported quickly just from media reports. Over time they document individual deaths, identify bodies, and so on. So there’s a constant mismatch of reported deaths snd documented the deaths. Over time this gap closes though.
Deaths from starvation are included. They amounted to two dozen or so, last time I checked.
Bad health care conditions of course increase the likelihood of deaths from preexisting chronic diseases, treatable diseases or injury, and so on. So the elderly and the very young are more susceptible to dying than during peacetime. AFAIK this excess mortality isn’t typically counted towards civilian casualties in wars.
So far there have been no epidemics documented, that resulted in high numbers of deaths. The Polio epidemic has one documented case and resulted in a ceasefire with a big vaccination drive.
So these estimates of 180,000 are not backed up by hard data as of now.
The health ministry does not distinguish between combatant and civilian deaths. Additionally people shot by Hamas for espionage/treason or other crimes are not listed separately.
Both Bardaweel and Barhoum were members of the 19-member Hamas decision-making body, the political office
Killing members of a government at war is something else than killing civilians.
Why is it nonsense? Hamas has been the government in Gaza for twenty years and ran a pretty authoritarian and harsh regime. There are no institutions in Gaza run against the will of Hamas.
BBC is accused by Zionists all the time to be biased against them.

Hot outfit, hot body, hot scene.
Half that is more realistic. You have to sleep, rest, eat, buy supplies, get lost, etc. There will be bad terrain, mountains, bad weather, etc. as well.
corrupt markets resulting from restricted/scarce housing supply
Housing has a hard limit as there is only so much ground available in desirable locations. Building houses also needs resources and labor and takes a while.
Functional programmers still pretending side effects snd reals world applications don’t exist.
