Because elections are coming up, why else?
Would you walk out of your 250,000/year software engineer gig over this? Most people won’t and don’t. Go to work, get paid, and live your life how you want.
Also substance abuse or mental disabilities… or both.
You must know some rich Americans. 2 days off of work is quite a bit more expensive than flying.
Is not always this simple though. If the window has yet to be spawned in some languages the width will be unavailable, until after. Sometimes the window can be seen before it moves to the center which is a bit jarring.
When I worked at Pizza Hut many years ago the terminals in the store were all simply dumb terminals that connected to the main server. It’s more efficient and cost effective that way so I would assume McDonalds which is a major corporation to have the same level of sophistication. But I as you suggest may be vastly overestimating things.
Pretty sure that’s a monitor. I would assume there is a server in back with VMs hosting the displays.
More Americans are living in 2023 than 2022.
A piece of history
It makes people feel better thinking the kids who did drugs and partied are disadvantaged.
Yea even in the early to mid 90s I remember those disposable camera with the flash packs you could buy separately. I used to take a bunch of pictures but almost never got them developed since i enjoyed taking the photos more than seeing the results.
But even in JavaScript a string representation of null is not equal to a null literal. ‘null’ or “null” are not the same as null
How the heck does a system interpret a string value null as a literal null? That seems insane to me that there really is software out there written like this. “null” != null… Or so I thought, maybe there are languages out there that this can happen in easily? Or someone is storing the string value of null in a non nullable database column?
It works, just not as well as it does in Windows. Mapping buttons and controls is a pain without the Wacom control panel.
And that would be supported on Windows 11. We are talking about PCs without TPM chips which are from 2014.
My Wacom tablet doesn’t work properly, neither does my Canon Pro 1000 printer. I’ve also had a few issues with my graphics drivers and games.

That doesn’t compute here. Like I have literally 0 problems with Windows. That’s certainly not been my experience with Linux. Oh bought a new drawing tablet, nah that won’t work. Oh need to update for firmware on a device, yeah better have windows. Oh you bought a recent printer, better not use Linux.
Do you tag all communities “linux”?
