The traditional way to learn about Google services is from the shutdown announcement.
Good article as usual from Cory Doctorow. I was very surprised by the title, but reading what happened made more sense.
I had something similar happen while job hunting. I didn’t give away any useful info before I caught on, but it was a combo of two factors that caught me with my shields down:
• I was using my phone instead of my desktop, so it didn’t show the email address (just the person’s name)
• I had never heard of a recruiting scam before
I’m not sure, but I figure they’d have asked for my direct deposit info when I was “hired” and then use that to steal money.
Why isn’t it loading? All I can see is:
exactly
(though I was trying to avoid a circular definition)
Neurotypical just means you’re in the bulge of the bell curve of traits, so your traits are common. It doesn’t mean you’re normal, just average.
Even more unpopular: Both are a waste of time.
It’s a lot smaller than I thought. There’s all that water in the middle that I always thought was land.
God money, I’ll do anything for you
God money, just tell me what you want me to
Don’t ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone for any reason ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you’ve been… ever, for any reason whatsoever…
Have you eaten his nuggets?
When I was a teacher, I went from teaching English in a classroom with two windows to a computer lab with windowless walls on all four sides.
I only got to tell this joke like a dozen times.
I would tell the person I was talking to that I liked teaching technology, but I missed the windows in my old classroom because now I had the fewest windows in the school.
Then after a pause, I’d say: Actually, now that I think about it, I ended up with the most windows because I have thirty computers all running Windows 10. And that’s like 300 Windows if you do the math.
This is such an important message, I keep this on my phone:
this is a gaunt-minded answer
Is there a client or program that can continually scan and backup your account, so at least you have a copy?
I’d add reading (or listening) two books:
The Art Of Mindful Living by Thich Nhat Hanh
• Easy to digest, relaxing listen, to practice mindfulness.
Getting Things Done by David Allen
• Get all the things out of your head and into a trusted system.
