Latin has more rules, but they’re more utilitarian than fancy. Latin rules are there to make sure you understand exactly what is being said. French rules are there to make everything elegant and confusing, like high fashion.

I just have some high school Latin from long ago, but if you parse “fancy” as “ornamental at the expense of utility”, then I think it’s a fair description.

Can I be upset at all of them? The little mermaid should probably be Dutch Danish, and all the rest should be their canon ethnicities. White Disney princesses don’t bother me because most of those stories are European folktales, but that cuts both ways.

To be honest I support my DSA locally because they actually take up council seats and attempt pushes into legislature and help with union actions.

What’s this? A rational socialist voter that uses the features of the political system to gradually effect lasting change by engaging in local politics? Is that allowed?

Oh hey, another third party candidate coming out of the woodwork to run for president despite no experience in political office. I’m all for socialist candidates, but they should set their sights a little lower and start with County Commissioner or something to build experience.

0% chance that a truly progressive candidate will win the general election without 1. significant experience themselves and 2. significant progressive representation in Congress and state offices. If the “both sides” parties can’t navigate the gridlock when they’re supposedly on the same team, how on Earth is an outsider going to get anything remotely effective accomplished without massive support from the legislative branch?

Vote progressive down ticket and in local elections. When we have a healthy progressive bloc in Congress, then we can seriously consider a progressive presidential candidate. And for the love of God, they need actual experience first(Senator, Governor, Attorney General, something).

When I was very young, my dad told me we were going to Miami. I thought he said “my Ami”, which I assumed was a word for some kind of relative, like Auntie, Granny, etc.

There was a period of time in middle school where I was obsessed with Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Definitely not my favorite film anymore (not even my favorite Monty Python film), but since I don’t really rewatch things nowadays it maintains its record.

Unless you count the one of the Disney movies my baby sister watched 3 times a day every day for months.

I use a smart alarm app. It uses your mic to track your breathing, and uses that information to identify when you’re in deeper and lighter phases of sleep. You set a range of time for the alarm, and when it detects you coming out of a deep cycle it starts the alarm. I’ve always slept through alarms, and this works like a dream.
